The Dutch contralto and singing teacher, Nine van Strien, completed her piano studies at the Sweelinck Conservatorium in Amsterdam. She later studied singing at the Koninklijk Conservatorium te Den Haag (Royal Conservatory in The Hague). Currently she is coached by Ronald Klekamp, singing teacher.
More than 25 years Nine van Strien has been associated with the Nederlands Kamerkoor. Working with fantastic musicians on many stages at home and abroad, has greatly enriched and shaped her. She loves the classic Lied repertoire: J.S. Bach, Lieder from the Romantic period and subsequent periods. She performs in ensembles and as a soloist in oratorios and cantatas. Currently, she is a member of the Westerkerkkoor. |
