Trinity Choirs
The Cathedral's choral program consists of four groups, two youth choirs, an adult choir and Chamber Singers.
Youth choirs
The Coventry Singers for High School age young adults.
The Choristers, a choir of lower elementary age children.
Adult Choirs
The 55-voice Trinity Choir is the resident vocal ensemble at the Cathedral.
This choir performs a variety of sacred choral music throughout the year, both in Eucharistic and other liturgical services, as well as performing in the Trinity Consort Series.
A recent review in The American Organist applauded the choir's blend, sensitivity to texts, and musical interpretations. The choir has performed for the American Choral Directors Association Regional Conventions, the 1992 National Convention of the Association of Anglican Musicians, the 1995 Regional Convention of The American Guild of Organists, broadcasts over Oregon Public Broadcasting, National Public Radio, and has recorded for Delos International and PGM Recordings.
The Cathedral Chamber Singers, a professional ensemble of vocalists, is heard frequently during the liturgical year at Trinity Cathedral singing monthly Vespers and, in addition to the Trinity Choir, performing as the chorus of the Trinity Consort. The members, some of the finest singers in the Portland area, are drawn from a number of college, university and church choirs.
