The German tenor, Ben Uhle, was born in Halle an der Saale. At the age of 8, he moved to Dresden with his parents and was admitted to the Dresdner Kreuzchor. After graduating from Kreuzschule Dresden (1983-1992), he went to Hamburg as well as the other members of the ensemble to perform his civil service in a nursing home. Subsequently, he spent a long time in Australia, before he began his studies in human medicine at the Justus-Liebig-Universität Gießen in the fall of 1994. After three years, he changed his field of study and studied at the Hochschule Zittau/Görlitz in Görlitz in the UNESCO degree program "Culture and Management". He also studied Cultural Management at Technische Universität Dresden (TU Dresden).
Ben Uhle was a member of Dresdner Kammerchor (Director: Hans-Christoph Rademann). In addition to the Dresdner Vocal Quartett, he is still a founding member of the Kammerchor Cantamus Dresden, and sings since 1993 in the Thüringischen Akademischen Singkreis. He currently lives in Dresden and works at MusikForum Dresden and as Managing Director at Musikfest Erzgebirge. |
