The Swedish tenor, Martin Vaanberg, studied Classical Guitar at Musikhögskolan Ingesund (1998-2001); Singing at Kungliga Musikhögskolan (2004-2007); Opera Singing at Operaakademiet (2007-2010). He finished a master degree at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm and an advanced postgraduate diploma at the Royal Danish Opera Academy in Copenhagen.
Martin Vanberg has established himself as one of the leading Scandinavian baroque tenors. With his beautiful timbre and agile voice he has begun his career singing the baroque and classical repertoire and he is also sought after in contemporary opera and operettas. He has been performing with orchestras such as RAI Torino and Teatro Regio Torino, Accademia Bizantina, Europa Galante, AKAMUS Berlin, LaVerdi Barocca, I Solisti Veneti, Orchestra I Pomeriggi Musicali, Philharmonic Orchestras throughout Europe, Ludovico's Band Melbourne, Arte dei Suonatori, Drottningholm Baroque Ensemble, Concerto Copenhagen, Les Accents and Kammerorchester Basel and he has been working with conductors such as Ottavio Dantone, Steuart Bedford, Lars Ulrik Mortensen, Laurence Cummings, Helmuth Rilling, Andrew Manze, Ruben Jais, Riccardo Minasi, Thibault Noally, Olof Boman, Marc Soustrot, Stephen Layton, Claudio Scimone and Fabio Biondi in opera and concert venues in Europe, in the USA and Australia. He currently lives in Malmö, Sweden. |
