The French mezzo-soprano, Axelle Verner, entered after high scholl, the Chœur d'Adulte de la Maîtrise de Notre Dame de Paris, where she studied more particularly the early music. After two years of specializing in medieval music to discover the secrets of breath and the beautiful vocal line, she enrolled at the Conservatoire Supérieur de Musique et de Danse (CNSMD) de Lyon, where she obtained her Master of Music degree (2013-2018).
Axelle Verner sings early music: from medieval to Baroque and contemporary works. She performs regularly as a soloist with several ensembles: Alkymia (Director: Mariana Delgadillo Espinoza), La Capella Sanctae Crucis (Director: Tiago Simas Freire). Athenais (Director: Laurence Pottier). She is currently exploring the repertoire of H. Kapsberger with the ensemble Les Kapsbergirls by mixing vocal techniques: classical and traditional. With CNSMD Lyon, she has been a soloist in several projects, from medieval music to Flamboyant Baroque. She is also a member of La Chapelle Harmonique (Director: Valentin Tournet).
Axelle Verner also participated in the recording of several records as a soloist, two of which were released in 2016. |
