The Spanish bass-baritone, Víctor Vilca, grew up on the Canary Islands to a Peruvian father and a Spanish mother. He obtained his music degree in vocal performance from Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya (2005-2009); and his music degree in vocal performance from Hochschule für Musik und Theater Felix Mendelsohn Bartholdy in Leipzig (2008-2009). He also trained in second language acquisition focusing in Phonetics and Phonology at the University of Barcelona (2010-2012).
Víctor Vilca as worked as Music Journalist for Internet & Radio (May 2008-May 2015: Press Coverage at the Eurovision Song Contest for OGAE Armenia Youtube Channel and Website - 2013-2016); Press Coverage at the Eurovision Song Contest for Gente Radio - 2008-2017); and as Music Teacher (September 2009-December 2015: Teatre Clavé, Tordera; Col·legi Santo Tomás, Viladecans; Estudi de Música Àngels Casas, Barcelona). He is a freelance bass-baritone singer since January 2006, and has sung with La Capella Reial de Catalunya (Director: Jordi Savall), Cor de Cambra del Palau de la Música Catalana, Barcelona Ars Nova, La Xantria, Cor de Cambra Francesc Valls, Coro de RTVE. He also operates as Manager of the recorder quartet Windu Quartet in Brcelona (since June 2017); and Manager of Vespres d'Arnadí Baroque Orchestra in Barcelona (since March 2016). He currently lives in Barcelona and has also lived in Leipzig (Germany). He often visits Moscow (Russia) since 2007. |
