The German soprano, Julia Weigel, finished in the summer of 2010 her singing training program as concert soloist singer with Professor Catharine Dau, after she had obtained a piano diploma and a diploma in opera singing. Even before she completed a Lied-class studies with Professor Konrad Richter in Stuttgart and Professor Ulrich Eisenlohr in Mannheim. Julia Weigel was a prize-winner at the Wettbewerbs Rheinsberger Kammeroper in 2007, where she performed the role of Gianetta in Donizetti's L'elisir d'amore. Furthermore, she won scholarships of Richard-Wagner-Stipendiatin and Live-Music-Now-Stiftung. She was winner of the Musikpreises des Zonta Clubs Weinheim Area in 2009.
Julia Weigel’s repertoire includes roles as Adele, Gretel, Pamina, Nanetta, Anna Reich, Ilia and Norina. She starred in three musicals-Fairy tales for children, led by Eberhard Streul. Her concert and oratorio repertoire includes works of all eras. She performs particularly modern works (Hartmann, Francis Poulenc, Rihm and others). The German premiere of a works by F.H. Kern, composed her voice, and in May 2011 in New York are among the highlights of her career. |
