Fabienne Weiß (Soprano)

Born: Preetz, Schleswig-Holstein, Northern Germany

The German soprano, Fabienne Weiß (née Keppler), studied opera singing at the Hochschule für Musik, Theater und Medien in Hannover and worked intensively with Professor Snezana Stamenkovic (Mannheim). She received important artistic inspiration from Professor Christiane Iven, Deborah Polaski, Professor Aribert Reimann, Professor Jan Philip Schulze and Justus Zeyen.

Fabienne Weiß has been a permanent member of the RIAS-Kammerchor Berlin since 2015. Engagements in the lyric soprano field have taken her the Theater für Niedersachsen, Theater Bielefeld and to various summer festivals, such as the Internationale Opernakademie auf Schloss Weikersheim. In 2020, at the beginning of the Corona pandemic, she founded the Alato Trio together with the mezzo-soprano Franziska Markowitsch and the Basel guitarist Phileas Baun. Together, the three musicians developed a repertoire specially arranged for this unusual ensemble, which primarily focuses on duets for two female voices that originated in the German Romantic period. She performs nationwide with her trio and as a soloist in concerts.
