Caroline Weynants (Soprano)

Born: Belgium

The Belgian soprano, Caroline Weynants, discovered music with the choir La Choraline, conducted by Benoît Giaux at the age of 10. At 16, she began her vocal training with Brigitte Chevigné. She the entered the Royal Conservatory of Liege in the class of Greta de Reyghere where she obtained a first prize in June 1999 and a postgraduate diploma in June 2003. Meanwhile, she studied in the class of Jean-Pierre Peuvion where she has the opportunity to sing contemporary music and early music and obtained a first prize of chamber music in June 2000.

Caroline Weynants has worked several times with the orchestra Les Agrémens and sje appears regularly as a soloist with La Cetra d'Orfeo. Since 1998, she is an active member of the Chamber Choir of Namur, led by famous conductors such as Sigiswald Kuijken, Jean Tubéry, Jean-Claude Malgoire, Frieder Bernius, and so on.
