Timothy Wilson (Counter-tenor)

Born: July 18, 1961 - Winchester, England

The English counter-tenor, Timothy Wilson, studied at the Royal Academy of Music in London (Class of 1984).

Timothy Wilson has been a membe of several renownes English vocal ensembles, including The Tallis Scholars (Director: Peter Phillips), as well as The English Concert (Director: Trevor Pinnock), Gabrieli Consort (Director: Paul McCreesh) and Taverner Consort (Director: Andrew Parrott). He sang with Opera Scotland the roles of Medoro an African Prince in George Frideric Handel's Orlando (1985 ), Voice of Apollo in Benjamin Britten's Death in Venice (1988 ), Nireno Cleopatra's eunuch in G.F. Handel's Giulio Cesare in Egitto (1992).
