The German organist and bass singer, Matthias Zangerle, studied church music at the St. Gregorius - Haus in Aachen, and finished there with the A-exam. He passed he B- and A-exam, in the subjects piano and organ with "distinction". He has further he studies with André Isoir and Daniel Roth. Then he began a major study of organ at the Robert-Schumann-Hochschule in Düsseldorf with Paul Heuser (concert exam). The he joined singing studies with Arthur Janzen and Jürgen Glauß at the Hochschule fuer Musik in Köln, where he recived in 1994 his artistic maturity. He had further singing studies with Werner Lechte, Mechthild Georg, and Helmuth Rilling.
In October 1988 Matthias Zangerle became Kantor at the enamt at the Katholischen Pfarrgemeinde St. Cyriakus in Krefeld-Hüls. From 1990 until the summer semester of 2000, he was a lecturer for piano at the Robert-Schumann-Hochschule in Düsseldorf. Since the summer semester of 2005 he is lecturer for singing at this institute.
Matthias Zangerle has had concert engagements as a singer (baritone) in his homeland and abroad (France, Russia, Brazil), the focus of the solo work is the classical oratorio. Collaboration with renowned singers, conductors and orchestras complements the artistic work. |
