The American tenor, Richard Zook, received his training in the USA, but has lived for many years in the Netherlands.
Richard Zook is a professional singer, but he is also an accomplished accompanist, organist and choirmaster. As a performing vocalist, he covers a wide vocal range in terms of genres, styles and musical periods, but works by J.S. Bach have been preferred.
Richard Zook is also proficient in the field of theater and opera and in that context has a special affinity for performances for children. He sang the role of Banquo and Banquo's ghost in the opera Macbeth by Salvatore Sciarrino, whose premiere took place at the Schwetzingen Festival and was followed by revivals in Graz, Paris, Frankfurt and at the Lincoln Center Festival in New York. |
