Christoph Knoll was a German minister (pastor) and poet of church hymns. After attending schools in Bunzlau and Görlitz, he was since 1583 in Frankfurt/Oder and in 1584 in Wittenberg. The same year he became Signator at the school in Sprottau. There he worked as a deacon from 1591 to 1620. He died in 1621 and left a son, who was later a minister in Witgendorf. |
