Ensemble Barockin' was founded in 2011 by the Ingolstadt flautist Kozue Sato and is made up of musicians from Russia, Greece, France, Germany, and Japan, who have devoted themselves to historical performance practice. |

Kozue Sato (Transverse Flute) |

The Japanese flautist, Kozue Sato, has performed for mang years as a soloist and chamber musician in Germany. Honored as the "best up-and-coming musical talent" of the city of Sapporo, she was prize-winner at the HIMES Competition and received the Gasteig Culture Prize, Munich. She earned an artist's diploma at the the Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Munich in the studio of Professor Klaus Schochow. This was followed by studies with Philippe Boucly (solo flautist of the Bayerischer Rundfunk Symphonieorchester) and later on transverse flute with Marion Treupel-Franck. Master-classes with Bartold Kuijken, Marcello Gatti (transverse flute), and Burga Schwarzbach (body training) provided important musical impulses.
Kozue Sato performs with the Baroque orchestra La Banda and has been lecturer at the Cathdic University Eichstätt-Ingolstadt since 2013. |

Dmitry Lepekrov (Baroque Violin) |

The Russian violinist, Dmitry Lepekrov, was bom in Moscow, where he attended the Tchaikovsky Conservatory. Already during his studies, he was a sought-after violnist, participating, for example, as soloist on a CD recording with the renowned Pratum Integrum Orchestra, and appearing at various European music festivals. In 2011 he won the 12th Biagio Marini Competition and received the Preis der Deutschen Schallplattenkritik (German Record Critics' Award) for his recording of Georg Philipp Telemann's violin concertos. He studied Baroque violin at the the Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Munich with Professor Mary Utiger.
As an internationale active musician, Dmitry Lepekrov comnmutes between Moscow and Germany and other European countries in order to fulfill his many artistic commitments (including with the Hofkapelle Munich and Les Talens Lyriques). |

Pavel Serbin (Viola da gamba) |

The Russian viola da gamba player, Pavel Serbin, was born in Moscow. After studies at the Tchaikovsky Conservatory with Dmitry Miller (violcncello), he continued his training at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague and at the Luxembourg Conservatory, studying with teachers such as Wieland Kuijken, Michel Rada-Igisch (violae da gamba), and Jaap ter Linden (Baroque violoncello). Since 2004 he has been instructor of Baroque violoncello and chamber music an historical instruments at the Moscow Conservatory. He was a prize-winner at various competitions, including the Premo Bonporti Competition (Italy, 2000), Van Wassenaer Concours (Holland, 2000), an the Early Music Competition in Bruges (Belgium, 1999).
Pavel Serbin has appeared as gambist and cellist worldwide. Since 2003 he has been artistic director of the Pratum Integrum Orchestra. |

Felix Stross (Baroque Violoncello) |

The German cellist, Felix Stross, was bom in Lüneburg and grew up in Munich. He had lessons with Jan Polasek, Peter Wöpke, Helmar Stiehler, and Rudolf Metzmacher, and studied with Rudolf Gleissner und Hans-Christian Schweiker at the Colleges of Music in Stuttgart and Köln (Aachen campus). His interest in historical performance practice led him to undertake studies in Baroque cello with Kristin von der Goltz at the Munich College of Music.
Felix Stross performs in numerous early music ensembles, including La Vision, La Banda, Hofkapelle Munich, Balthasar-Neumann-Ensemble, L'arte del mondo, and his own chamber music formation Collegium Musicum Munich. |

Francis Jacob (Harpsichord) |

The French harpsichordist, Francis Jacob, was born in Alsace and studied organ and harpsichord with Sylvain Ciaravolo, Andre Stricker, Aline Zdberajch, Martin Gester (Strasbourg), Jean Boyer (Lyon), Jan-Willen Jansen (Toulouse), and Jesper Christensen (Basel). As a young organist, he won a number of organ competitions, including the Alexandra Guilmant Competition in Boulogne-sur-Mer (1987) and the International Organ Competition in Bruges (1997).
Francis Jacob has appeared as a soloist in many European countries as well as in Japan and Brazil. In addition, ha has pertormed as continuo player in well-known ensembles such as Ricercar Consort and Le Concert Royal, including an a number of CD recordings. Alongside his activities as Professor of Organ at the Strasbourg Conservatoire, he works closely together with the organ builder Bernard Aubertin (France) as advisor and likewise as organ builder. He is the initiator of various concerts, CD recordings, and international courses in Saessolsheim, Alsace, where he is active as organist. |
