Christopher Boscole (Piano)

Born: March 9, 1963 - Lihue, Hawaii, USA

The American pianist and composer, Christopher Boscole, grew up in a musical household as his mother was a singer and piano teacher. He studied violin, viola, clarinet, saxophone and piano - notably with classical pianist Mikiko Miyamoto. He played in school jazz groups and later pop music and rock n roll as he worked as a pianist/accompanist and keyboardist in a variety of bands in Seattle. He studied privately with jazz artist Gary Peacock and also continued music studies at Edmonds Community College and the University of Washington achieving a Bachelor of Arts in Music - Classical Piano (1981-1986) and later a Master of Music in Studio Music and Jazz Piano Performance from the University of Miami (1987-1989), where he also taught music. He was influenced by many genre of music, with a current focus on Impressionism. He names Keith Jarrett, Bill Evans, Chick Corea, Herbie Hancock, George Winston, David Lanz, Michael Jones, Liz Story, Ralph Towner, Frédéric Chopin, Claude Debussy, Erik Satie, J.S. Bach and L.v. Beethoven as some of his major musical influences.

Christopher Boscole has released 13 albums of inspirational and uplifting piano music. New Age, Neoclassical, Ambient, Jazz, Piano, Easy Listening, Melodic, Happy, Modern impressionist piano music that is relaxing and meditative. In his early career he produced five albums: "Shimmer -Solo Piano" (1986), "September Song, Contemporary Instrumental" (1987), "Land of Music: Contemporary Instrumental" (1992), "O Christmas Tree: Solo Piano" (1992) and "Natural Instincts: Jazz Ensemble" (1993). In following years he took a break from recording and focused on raising a family while working as a teacher and musician. In 2008 he took a sabbatical and sailed to Hawaii and released "Presents of Angels: Solo Piano" (2008) and "Inner Voyages" (2009). He then returned to teaching in Seattle and later produced "Floating on a Melody" in 2012. The next year he retired from teaching and sailed back to Hawaii and released "A New Age of Classical piano" in 2014. This was followed by "Skipping on Daisies" in 2016 and "Soul Dreams" in 2017. He released "Dawn of Love" in 2019, a collection of classic love themes and 2 originals. In 2022 he released the single "A Simple Song" and the album "Isle of Shadows - A New Age of Classical Piano." He is also featured on several compilation albums: "Whisperings Solo Piano I", "In the Zone Vol. 1", and "Focus Zone Music for Studying". He also combines his passions for music, nature, photography, and sailing in videos on Youtube. He currently lives in Gig Harbor, Washington.
