The German soprano, Christiane Büttig, studied from 2002 to music education at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Rostock and Sports Science at the Universitäten Rostock. Subsequently, she studied at the Hochschule für Musik Carl Maria von Weber Dresden choral conducting with Professor Hans-Christoph Rademann and orchestral conducting with Professor Steffen Leißner and Professor Ekkehard Klemm. To this training she added in 2012 participation in the International Master Class of Rundfunkchor Berlin under Simon Halsey, Marguerite L. Brooks and Jeffrey Douma.
During her studies, Christiane Büttig participated in numerous choral symphonic performances and orchestral concerts and was a member of many choirs as, inter alia, the Dresdner Kammerchor, the Chor der Landesbühnen Sachsen and Vocalconsort Berlin. Since 2012, she is the choir director of the Universitätschor Dresden. In 2013, she was the chorus master for the semi-opera King Arthur by Dryden/Purcell, a collaboration between Staatsschauspiel Dresden and the Semperoper. At the Semperoper, she was also responsible for the Chorus in Moskau, Tscherjomuschki by Dmitri Shostakovich. In February 2014, she made her debut as a conductor with the French Radio Choir in Paris. |
