Cantores Lipsienses (Chamber Choir)

Founded: 1997 - Leipzig, Saxony, Germany

The chamber choir of Cantores Lipsienses was founded in 1997 by David Timm, in order to performs short a-capella works as well as oratorio works, like the Markus-Passion (BWV 247) by J.S. Bach/Volker Bräutigam and the Weihnachts-Oratorium (BWV 248) by J.S. Bach. The choir consists of students and graduates of the Leipzig University and the Hochschule für Musik und Theater.
