The French pianist, Célimène Daudet, was born in the south of France to a Haitian mother and a French father. She began her music studies in piano with Michel Bourdoncle at the Conservatory of Aix-en-Provence. There, she awarded two gold medals and, at a young age, gave her first recitals and performed with an orchestra. Then, she studied under Olivier Gardon and Denis Pascal. In 1999, after winning two awards in piano at the CNR (Conservatoire National de Région) in Paris and Rueil-Malmaison, she was laureate in the Jean Françaix International piano Competition in Paris. That same year, she was admitted to the National Superior Conservatory of Music and Dance of Lyon (CNSMD) under the direction of Géry Moutier. She received her DNESM (diplôme national d études supérieures musicales) in 2003 and the certificate for teaching in 2005. Her passion for chamber music drove her to enroll at the National Superior Conservatory of Music and Dance (CNSMD) in Paris to study with violonist Jean Mouillère in order to increase the repertoire of piano and violin pieces. In the middle of this musical education and training she won the International Competition "Musiques d Ensemble" in Paris in 2001 and then, and she was finalist in the Forum International de Normandie in 2003. During master-classes, Célimène had the opportunity to be advised by Roger Muraro, Jacques Rouvier, Fazil Say, Bernard dAscoli, Vladimir Mendelssohn and Luis Claret. In 2006, she received the support on the Banff Centre in Canada where she participated as a resident artist, an arrangement which allowed her to give several concerts in Canada.
For many years Célimène Daudet e has been performing as a soloist in France and abroad. She is a regular guest performerin Russia, notably in Moscow and the prestigious Philharmonic halls of Rostov and Nijni-novgorod. In addition, she has performed on numerous occasions in Germany thanks to the support of the AJAM, which has been a springboard for many French musicians. She has also performed in Malta, notably at the National Theater (the Teatru Manoel) and at the Presidential Palace, where she was invited to perform for the President of the Republic of Malta.
In France, Célimène Daudet can be found on stage at a number of festivals: Les Nuits Pianistiques, Jeunes Interprètes Premières Armes des Invalides, Prieuré de Chirens, Musée en musique in Grenoble, among others. She has played at the Park of Château de Florans de la Roque d’Antheron (one of the most important festival in Europe) as part of a concert featuring "youg talent" and has also performe several times at the National Opera in Lyon, at the Debussy Museum, at the Sorbonne, as well as in a number of other French cities. Finally, she has been heard with the orchestra Les solistes de Lyon under the direction of Bernard Tétu, with the Chamber Orchestra of Aix-en-Provence, with the Orchestra of the Opera of Toulon.
Complete and curious musician, Célimène Daudet has regularly collaborated with singers and even with dancers in the creation of performances mixing piano and contemporary dance. Her concerts are acclaimed by both French and foreign press.
Célimène Daudet is also member of piano faculty for advanced students in Toulon National Conservatory and she gave several times master-classes in Russia. |
