The German tenor, Andreas Fischer, completed his studies with Professor Ingeborg Reichelt at the renowned Robert-Schumann-Hochschule in Düsseldorf, where he passed the concert exam in 1998.
Andreas Fischer is praised by the press and the public for his unmistakable timbre, clear diction and stylistic diversity. His repertoire ranges from the Renaissance to the Modern. The focus is on the great Evangelist parts of J.S. Bach's oratorios, as well as recitals with Franz Schubert's Lied cycles. Concert tours have taken him to Italy, France, Poland and Israel. From 1999 to 2001 he also sang and played in nearly 300 performances the first tenor of the production "Wochenend und Sonnenschein", a musical revue about the life of the Comedian Harmonists. He has sung the tenor part in Carl Orff's Carmina Burana in countless concerts all over Europe, including with the Gürzenich-Orchester Köln at the Kölner Philharmonie. In 2013, he sang Felix Mendelssohn's Wie der Hirsch schreit with Kantorei St. Jacobi Hamburg.
As a member of the MDR Rundfunkchor Leipzig, Andreas Fischer has performed since 2002 with conductors such as Riccardo Chailly, Sir Simon Rattle, Herbert Blomstedt and Marek Janowski in concert halls such as the Berliner Philharmonie, Wiener Musikverein, Royal Albert Hall in London, Doha Opera House in Qatar or the Palais des Beaux Arts in Brussels. Since June 2015, he is also a member of Leipziger Bach-Solisten (Director: Georg Christoph Biller). |
