Jörg Genslein (Tenor, Choral Conductor)

Born: Bamberg, Bavaria, Germany

The German tenor and choral conductor, Jörg Genslein, received his first musical education at the Regensburger Domspatzen and then studied singing in Augsburg and Dresden with Agnes Abele-Habereder and choral conducting with Hans-Christoph Rademann.

As choral conductor, Jörg Genslein directed the Geschicke des Renner Ensemble Regensburg from 2003 to 2010 and followed invitations to collaborate with conductors such as Riccardo Chailly, Adam Fischer, Sir Roger Norrington and Herbert Blomstedt. In May 2008, the avid fan of 1.FC Nürnberg and passionate Paul Auster-Leser was elected the new Artistic Director of the Thüringischen Akademischen Singkreises.

As a tenor, Jörg Genslein performs with renowned instrumental and vocal ensembles, including the Kammerchor Stuttgart (Director: Frieder Bernius). As a soloist, he dedicates himself mostly to Lieder and oratorio singing. As a permanent member of the RIAS-Kammerchor (Current Director: Hans-Christoph Rademann), the amateur cook can get epicurean inspiration on many concert tours.
