The Soanish choral conductor and music pedagogue, Rudrigo Guerrero, studied Choir Conducting at the Real Conservatorio Superior de Madrid, and a obtained his Master of Music degree in Vocal, Instrumental and Orchestral Conducting from the Escuela Superior Katarina Gurska (2018-2019).
Rudrigo Guerrero has been director of various choral groups, currently being the director of the Coro Vox Aurea (since 2013), Coro Rivas (since 2011), and Coro de la Sociedad Coral de Madrid (SCM) (since 2016). He has founded various vocal and instrumental ensembles, highlighting Opera Omnia (specialized in Baroque music and with which he has recovered and performed Spanish repertoire of the 18th century) and the Ensemble Guerrero. He has been at the forefront of orchestras and instrumental groups such as the Ensemble Il Prologo, Orquesta Jarama People, Orquesta Ritornello and Arts Ensemble, with which he has conducted opera, zarzuela, oratorio and ballet.
Rudrigo Guerrero has been part of vocal groups such as La Capilla Real de Madrid, the vocal group Millenium and the Cor de la Generalitat de Valencia, touring Korea, Israel and South America.
At present Rudrigo Guerrero is Professor of Choral Technique and History of Music at the Escuela Coral de Madrid (since 2011). He has collaborated with the Thyssen-Bornemisza museum on educational projects on music and painting. He has also written various soundtracks and music for theater. He is a member of the Asociación Española de Directores de Coro (AEDCORO). |
