The German lyric soprano, Heike Hallaschka, completed her singing training at the Musikhochschule Detmold. She was pupil of Barbara Schlick (Köln), got stipend of the Richard Wagner Federation Bayreuth and trained herself further with Jessica Cash (London), Birgit Bastian (Copenhagen) and Helmut Kretschmar (Detmold). In the are of Lieder singing she got important guidance by Norman Shetler.
As high lyric soprano, Heike Hallaschka’s repertoire includes, besides the big Baroque parts, works as The Creation by Haydn, W.A. Mozart's C minor Mass, Elias by Felix Mendelssohn, Orff’s Carmina Burana and the Requiems of Verdi, Johannes Brahms, Dvorak and A. L. Webber.
Heike Hallaschka has appeared in music festivals in Schleswig-Holstein, Hitzacker, Ludwigsburg, Utrecht, Innsbruck, La Chaise Dieux, Breslau, Helsinki, Toulouse, in Brittany and in the Bodensee and has participated in numerous CD -, broadcast and TV productions. She appeared with Enoch to Guttenberg at the Prague's Rudolphinum and at the Munich’s Philharmonie, sang with Peter Schreier on a Japan tour the Dresdner Kreuzchor and is invited regularly as a soloist to the Dresden’s Kreuzkirche. She has appeared in concerts at the Munich’s Herkulessaal, the Dresden’s Frauenkirche, the Hamburg’s Musikhalle and Moscow’s Tchaikovsky Conservatory, and has co-operated with the Bamberger Symphoniker, Dresdner Kammerchor, Virtuosi Saxoniae, and La Stagione Frankfurt, and with the conductors Ton Koopman, Michael Schneider, Ludwig Güttler and Ingo Metzmacher.
Heike Hallaschka dedicates herself increasingly to the Lieder singing. The Westdeutsche Rundfunk Köln (West German Broadcast Cologne) took up with her the cycle La Bonne Chanson by Gabriel Fauré and Kinderstube by Mussorgsky. On invitation of the Goethe Institute Chicago she made Lieder recital tour in the USA. On invitation of the German Ambassador in London she gave a live Lieder recital in the big hall of the WDR.
Heike Hallaschka’s solo recordings includes: CD of Lieder of Fanny and Felix Mendelssohn as well as with Lieder of the Liszt’s pupil Anton Urspruch, CD with Lieder of the romantic composer Josefine Lang with the Southwest Broadcast Stuttgart, CD with solo cantatas of Johann Adolf Hasse with the NDR Hamburg, the audio DVD "Ave Maria" for soprano, trumpet and organ for the Japanese label Denon (as CD by SonArte). |
