Daisy Livesey (Soprano)

Born: England

The English soprano, Daisy Livesey, obtained her Bachelor of Music degre with Honours in Vocal Studies at the Royal Academy of Music (1st), where she studied with Alexander Ashworth and Iain Ledingham. She was awarded the Philip Hattey prize and the Jennifer Vyvyan scholarship in her final year. During the Academy’s Bicentenary in 2022, she was a soprano soloist in Purcell's The Fairy Queen directed by Laurence Cummings. In 2022, she was also awarded Collingwood Prize at the Kathleen Ferrier Society Bursary for Young Singers. In 2024-2025, she was Jennifer Vyvyan Scholar at the Royal Academy of Music. In January 2025, she won First Prize in RAM’s Nancy Nuttall Early Music Prize adjudicated by Robert Hollingworth with a programme of Dietrich Buxtehude's soprano cantatas; in 2025, she arrived to the Second place in Royal Academy of Music’s Delius Prize adjudicated by Mark Bebbington, and was Ashburnham English Song Awards Finalist with Ben Markovic. She attended master-classes with John Mark Ainsley, Nicholas Pritchard, Emma Kirkby, Susan Manoff, Barbara Hannigan (2023-2025).

Daisy Livesey is a soprano based in London. She is supported by the Josephine Baker Trust, with recent solo engagements including Benjamin Britten's The World of the Spirit (Ben Vonberg-Clark, London Mozart Players, Snape Maltings Concert Hall, 2025), Haydn's The Seasons (Iain Ledingham, St Mary’s Church, Amersham, 2025), George Frideric Handel's Messiah (Jonathan Willcocks, Chichester Cathedral, 2025), J.S. Bach's Jauchzet Gott in allen Landen (Max Barley, St John’s Church, Spencer Hill, Wimbledon International Music Festival, 2024), Rossini's Petite Messe Solennelle (Luke Fitzgerald, Coventry Cathedral, 2024) and Purcell's The Fairy Queen (Seb Gillot and Eloise Lally, Jacksons Lane Theatre, Hampstead Garden Opera, 2024).

Also an experienced choral singer, Daisy has worked in the UK and Europe with Arcangelo under Topi Lehtipuu/Jonathan Cohen (Helsinki, 2023; London, 2025) the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment under Václav Luks (Queen Elizabeth Hall, Brno (Czechia), Lucerne (Switzerland), 2025; Saffron Hall, Royal Festival Hall, Polish National Radio Symphony Hall, 2023) the Gabrieli Consort under Paul McCreesh (Iturbi Hall, Valencia, 2025), the Monteverdi Choir under Christophe Rousset (Hamburg Elbphilharmonie, 2024) and La Nuova Musica under David Bates (Shoreditch Town Hall, 2025). She was Young Artist at Southrepps Music Festival, Ben Johnson and Tom Primrose (2025).
