The German tenor and voice teacher, Ulrich Löns [Ulrik Loens], initially completed a organ and instrumental pedagogy studies at the Musikhochschule in Münster. As the second main subject he studied singing with Dorothea Liss. Upon graduation, he took vocal studies with Professor Ingeborg Ruß at the Musikhochschule in Detmold, which he completed with the Artistic Diploma.
Already during his studies Ulrich Löns participated in various ensembles and professional choirs with: Die Deutschen Bachvokalisten, La Petite Bande, Collegium Vocale Gent, La Chapelle Royale Paris, WDR Rundfunkchor Köln, SWR Vokalensemble Stuttgart.
After a solo trip to the opera stage Ulrich Löns found his musical home in 1994 at the Rundfunkchor Berlin. There he also met an influential teacher for him in Friedrich Wilhelm Nahr, with whom he stayed connected in friendship until his death in 2011.
A personal crisis brought him ultimately in contact with Renate Schulze-Schindler and her breath, body and voice training. After a year of intensive work with her, he decided to participate in their two-year part-time course for Natural Voice Teacher®. In December 2012, he was able to complete the training with nine other candidates. |
