The French bass, Guillaume Olry, sang at the age of 8 in the Maîtrise de garçons de Colmar under the direction of Arlette Steyer. He acquired a solid musical background. In 2003, he enrolled at CNSMD Lyon in the classes of Brian Parsons and Marie-Claude Vallin. He participated in master-classes of Laura Sarti or Roman Trekel. In 2007, he obtained his Higher National Diploma in Music Studies with honors and then perfected with Harry van der Kamp at the Musikhochschule Bremen (2007-2008). He also worked on the lyric repertoire with soprano Cécile De Boever.
Guillaume Olry regularly sings in France and abroad with prestigious ensembles such as Artiste Lyrique (since 2003), Huelgas Ensemble (since September 2011), Le Concert Spirituel (Director: Hervé Niquet), Ensemble Pygmalion (Director: Raphaël Pichon), La Fenice (Director: Jean Tubéry), Musica Nova Lyon, La Chapelle Rhénane (Director: Benoît Haller), Weser Renaissance, Cantus Thuringia (Director: Bernhard Klapprott) and Gesualdo Consort Amsterdam (Director: Harry van der Kamp), at the festivals of d'Ambronay, Ile-de-France, Sablé-sur-Sarthe, Saintes, La Chaise-Dieu, Ribeauville, Uzes, Antwerp, Utrecht, Bremen, Cuenca, etc. In 2014, he founded the Ensemble Non Pareilhe with which, he never tires of interpreting the polyphonies of the Renaissance, surrounded by a team of faithful friends.
He also performs as an oratorio soloist: Mass in B minor (BWV 232), Passions and many cantatas of J.S. Bach. and Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach; George Frideric Handel's Messiah, Solomon and Resurrezione; W.A. Mozart's Requiem, J. Haydn's Creation, Stabat Mater and Lord Nelson's Mass, etc ... and recital of French melody and Lied. He currently lives in Lyon, France. |
