The Isreali baritone, Guy Pelc, studied music in the Thelma Yellin High school, and served in the IDF as an “outstanding msusician”. He studied voice with Marina Levit, and orchestral conducting with Ido Ariel and Ronen Borshevsky at the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance. He has held America-Israel Cultural Foundation scholarships (2008-2013) and awards from the IVAI, Ronen Foundation and the Buchman Heyman Foundation.
Guy Pelc has performed several opera roles such as: Aeneas in Dido and Aeneas by Purcell, Siene in Vivaldi’s Festival on the Siene, Zurga in Les pêcheurs de perles by Georges Bizet, Otton in L’incoronazione di Poppea by Monteverdi, and Apollo in Orfeo by Monteverdi, which was recorded with Andrew Parrott and the Taverner Consort & Players under Avie label.
Guy Pelc has sung solos with many Israeli orchestras and Baroque ensembles, incliding the Israel Camerata Orchestra Jerusalem, Israel Symphony Orchestra Rishon LeZion, Israel Chamber Orchestra, Netanya Kibbuz Orchestra, Jerusalem Baroque Orchestra, Ensemble Phoenix, Barrocade Ensemble and more. He is a member of Moran Singers Ensemble since 2012 |
