The German recorder and transverse flute playe, Frauke Rauterberg, studied recorder with Professor Ferdinand Conrad in Hannover and then at the Universität der Künste Berlin with Professor Christoph Huntgeburth. There she received her recorder exam with distinction. She completed her solo training from 1990 to 1995 with Walter van Hauwe in Amsterdam and supplemented it in master-classes with Frans Brüggen, Kees Boeke, Han Tol and Pedro Memelsdorff, among others. At the same time she completed a musicology degree at the Universität der Künste Berlin. She successfully took part in competitions.
An extensive concert career as a soloist and with her Berlin ensemble for early music La Gioia has taken Frauke Rauterberg through Germany and Europe. She has participated in several CD and radio recordings. Her intense preoccupation with new music is also evident in numerous solo and chamber music recitals.
Teaching recorder and chamber music as well as lectures and workshops at the Universität der Künste Berlin and the Hochschule für Musik Köln were part of Frauke Rauterberg's work as a lecturer. She lives as a freelance musician in Berlin. |
