The German soprano, Noémi Schröder, began at 16 her singing training with Barbara Sutton Adam and Gudrun Bär. During this time she participated successfully several times at the competition "Jugend musiziert". From 1997 to 1999 she studied at the Hochschule des Saarlandes für Musik und Theater with bei Professor Stoll and Bühler-Fey. Since the summer semester 2000, she studied at the Robert-Schumann-Hochschule in Düsseldorf, at first with Celina Lindsley, then with Professor Michaela Krämer. She graduated her singing studies in 2004 with a diploma.
Even during her study years, Noémi Schröder gathered diverse extensive professional experience. As a member of the Weltjugendchor (World Youth Choir) she participated in 1998 in a concert tour to Taiwan and to Philippines. With the aria Ich bin die Christel von der Post in the entertainment show Drei in einem Boot, she had in August 2001 first appearance on television. In the 2002-2003 season, she sang as guest in the productions of The Bird Garden by Quentin Thomas and Polly Hope and in Prinz Tamino und die Zauberflöte, an arrangement of Zauberflöte for children, in the role of the second lady at the Deutsche Oper am Rhein in Düsseldorf. In addition, she collaborated as a concert singer with various choirs. With the Orchester des Saarländischen Rundfunks Saarbrücken and Oratorienchor der Stadt Wadern she focused on sacred music concerts, and with the Johann-Strauß-Orchester Frankfurt in the field of operetta.
Noémi Schröder's first engagement, the role of Christine in a tour-production of Phantom of the Opera (2004-2005 and 2005-2006 seasons), brought her closer to the world of musicals and she decided to an in-depth training in the fields of drama (Elke Petri), musicals (Craig Simmons) and dance (Tanzhaus Düsseldorf). The current focus of her work is because even in musical-productions (most recently Alkmene in Amphitryon, Eliza in My Fair Lady) and revues (currently with the ensemble Rififi / Trossingen). In the summer of 2007 she could be seen in the new musical 9:1/2 Knochen by Frank Golischewski, in the fall as Senta in Der fliegende Holländer-Die Rock-Oper and as a mother in Gloria. Since september 2007, she is one of three performers in the Christmas revue Music-e-Motion, a musical dinner show in which she can demonstrate her versatility as a musical actress in modern musicals in many different roles.
Noémi Schröder's wide repertoire ranges from J.S. Bach to modern times and includes, in addition to oratorios, Lieder and arias, of course, the operetta. She belongs to the Orpheus Theater since 2002. She is also part of an independent ensemble (Gassenhauer-Ensemble) with which she has toured repeatedly Norway and southern Germany, appearing with exceptional classical cast (piano, cello, Clarinet, trumpet, vocals) and colourful programme (tango, folk music from all over the world, classical, Pop hits of the 20's, musicals ...), which inspire her audience. |
