The Italian organist, Silvia Tomat, graduated in Organ and Organ Composition at the Conservatorio "J. Tomadini" Conservatory in Udine under the guidance of Professor Fontebasso. Later she attended specialization courses with internationally renowned professors such as L.F. Tagliavini, Lionel Rogg, Winsemius, Raas Oberdorfer, Michael Radulescu, Alessio Corti, Lorenzo Ghielmi. Interested in the practice of earlyt music, she studied harpsichord with Professor Gregoletto. Finalist in numerous national and international organ competitions, she won 2nd prize at the Perteole National Organ Competition, 3rd prize (1st not awarded) at the the International Competition "Organi storici del basso Friuli' di Muzzana del Turgnano" in Muzzana del Turgnano, 3rd prize at 'San Guido d'Aquesana' Competition.
Silvia Tomat performs concert activity both as a soloist and with vocal-instrumental groups in Italy, Austria, Germany, Switzerland, Croatia, Slovenia, Holland, Belgium. She participated at the Mittelfest in 2006 with an organ concert. She recorded a CD with music by Dietrich Buxtehude and J.S. Bach (Rainbow Classics).
In addition to teaching the piano, Silvia Tomat also teaches at the Convitto Nazionale "P. Diacono" in Cividale. She collaborates with the Accademia Musicale Culturale "HARMONIA". She currently lives in Cividale del Friuli, Italy. |
