History & Mission:

The cantatas are one of the key elements of the musical oeuvre of J.S. Bach. It is therefore not surprising that this music has become very popular with a large audience.
Stichting Rondom de Kantates organizes three times a year to perform a cantata in Amersfoort. For access to these performances to the widest possible public, they give a brief, clear explanation of the structure and content of the cantata being performed. Besides these cantatas instrumental works are also performed. Thus they can provide a varied program around the cantatas.
