The German composer, Hans-Günther Allers, studied in Trossingen (music teacher's exam) and Hamburg (piano and composition). Since 1992 he lives in Franconia as as a freelance composer.
In 1984 Hans-Günther Allers won First prize at the Composition Competition of the International Society for his Horn Trio Op. 27 for horn, violin and piano. In 1987 he was awarded "Honorable Mention" by the International Horn Society for Funf Intermezzi, Op. 40 for horn quartet.
From 1990 to 2008 Hans-Günther Allers gave lectures/recitals at the piano entitled "A joyous journey into the world of music" commenting on his own compositions with music from a historical perspective.
In 2010 Hans-Günther Allers won Prize at the Composition Competition for the Augsburger Violinbuch with Divertimento Piccolo, Op 89 for three violins; 2nd Prize at the Composition Competition of the Homburger Sinfonieorchsters Saarbrücken with his Capriccio, Op. 102 for symphony orchestra; 2nd Prize of the Harald-Genzmer-Stiftung and der Hochschule für Musik und Theater München for the composition Sonatine, Op. 100 for clarinet and piano. (1st prize: Italy, 2nd Prize: Germany (H.G. Allers), 3rd prize: Greece, a total of 61 submissions from around the world!). |
