Cantata BWV 39 "Brich dem Hungrigen dein Brot" (Break your bread with the hungry) was composed in Leipzig for the 1st Sunday after Trinity of 1726. The cantata is scored for soprano, alto & bass soloists; 4-part Chorus; and orchestra of 2 recorders, 2 oboes, 2 violins, viola & continuo.
