Cantata BWV 196 "Der Herr denket an uns" (The Lord thinks of us) was composed by J.S. Bach in Mühlhausen for a wedding in 1707-1708. The cantata is scored for soprano, tenor & bass soloists; 4-part Chorus; and orchestra of 2 violin, viola & continuo (+ violoncello & violone).
