Cantata BWV 198 Laß, Fürstin, laß noch einen Strahl [Trauerode] (Let, Princess, let one more ray) was composed by J.S. Bach in Leipzig as Funeral Ode on the Decease of the Consort of Augustus the Strong - Christiane Eberhardine, Queen of Poland and Electoral Princess of Saxony and was performed on October 17, 1727. The cantata is scored for soprano, alto, tenor & bass soloists; 4-part Chorus; and unusual instrumentation of 2 transverse flutes, 2 oboes d'amore, 2 sections of violins, violas, 2 violas da gamba, 2 lutes (used for the first time by Bach in a cantata), continuo (both clavichord and organ).
The discography of Cantata BWV 198 on the BCW has been revised and updated. See:

Markus-Passion BWV 247 was composed by J.S. Bach in Leipzig for Good Friday of 1731. It was performed again in 1734 and one more time in 1744 with 2 additional arias and changes of the text at certain places. Unfortunately, the text of this Passion was preserved but most of the music lost, except for 1 movement revised in BWV 248 and 7 movements in original form in Cantatas BWV 198 and BWV 54. There have been at least 8 attempts to reconstruct this Passion; most of them use music from Cantata BWV 198.
The discography page of Markus-Passion BWV 247 on the BCW has been revised and updated. See:
https://www.bach-cantatas.com/Vocal/BWV247.htm (40 complete recordings)
The revised discography includes new recordings (the previous version presented only 26 complete recordings), much more details (including the reconstructions) and many listening/watching options to recordings directly from the discography pages, just below the recording details.
I believe these are the most comprehensive discographies of both works. If you are aware of a recording of them missing from these pages, or want to correct/add details of a recording already presented on the BCW, please do not hesitate to inform me.
