Improvisation courses: KMD Professor Uwe Röhl. Composition: Professor Dr. Jens Rohwer. He finished his studies in 1962 with the state examination (A). He studied Kapellmeister at the Musikhochschule Lübeck and at the Stadttheater Bremerhaven (GMD Hans Kindler).
Cordt-Wilhelm Hegerfeldt served at Luther-Kirche Kiel (1959-1961); St. Laurentiuskirche Tönning / Eiderstedt, provost commissioner for church music (1962-1965). After those two smaller stations in Schleswig-Holstein, he took over the Bach-Chor Bremerhaven in 1965, at the same time Chor an der Bürgermeister-Smidt-Gedächtniskirche. The choir, which is still renowned today, became the musical figurehead of Seestadt under his leadership. He participated in live broadcasts and productions for Radio Bremen, Radio Hilversum, RIAS-Berlin wiith the Bach-Chor Bremerhaven, and as organist. From there he moved in 1976 to the Evangelische Christuskirche in Neuss, where her served until 2000. HAe paticipated in lively concert activity with the Kantorei in the series "Kirchenmusiken in Christuskirche Neuss" and in the Zeughaus der Stadt Neuss).
From 1977 to 2003, Cordt-Wilhelm Hegerfeldt was also Lecturer at the "Institut für Tonsatz" of the Robert-Schumann-Hochschule Düsseldorf. In 1988 he was appointed honorary Professor and in 1993 he was granted the membership status of Professor at the Robert-Schumann-Hochschule Düsseldorf (Ministry of Science and Research of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia). From 1988 to 2003, he was District Kantor of the Kirchenkreises Gladbach-Neuss. In 1993 he was awarded the title " Kirchenmusikdirektor " (Evangelische Kirche im Rheinland).

For many years Cordt-Wilhelm Hegerfeldt was in charge of the popular concert series "Im Schatten von St. Pankratius" in Dormagen (Nievenheim), wrote the representative work "Chormusik im Rhein-Kreis Neuss" (2003) for the Sängerkreis Neuss and was last committed to the € 200,000 restoration in 2010 Kleuker organ in the Christuskirche, even today you can hear him playing there occasionally, of course on the organ, because the days when he played the electric piano in the band "Psalter" are probably over.
