The Japanese tenor, Akinobu Ôno, made his debut in miusic at age 4, studied at Aichi Prefectural Meiwa Senior High School and the Kunitachi College of Musik de Tokyo in Tokyo where he obtained his Bachelor of Music and Master of Music degrees, including German Lied.
Akinobu Ôno's first role was Don Ottavio in W.A. Mozart's Don Giovanni. He then participated as a soloist in several major productions, including (George Frideric Handel's Messiah, J.S. Bach, Mass in B minor (BWV 232), Johannes-Passion (BWV 245) and Mätthaus-Passion (BWV 244). Since 2014 he lives in Switzerland and completes his development in Baroque music at the prestigious Schola Cantorum Basiliensis. He regularly performs on European stages. |
