The Diabelli-Orchester des Musikum Seekirchen is the only such symphony orchestra in the northern Flachgau. It was founded in 1990 by State Music School Director Michael Seywald and, in addition to music students, also invites enthusiastic amateur musicians of all ages and playing experience to make music together. The orchestra is currently directed by Stephan Höllwerth.
Works from the Baroque period are also on the music stands, as are classical symphonies, musicals, modern dances and gospels. Pieces that can be learned quickly and small challenges form an exciting mix. The "Diabellis" are rewarded by the lively visit and applause in concerts at selected locations.
In addition to making music, there is time for fun, sport and social gatherings on some rehearsal Saturdays, the annual festival and when traveling. |
