The German soprano, choral conductor and music teacher, Biljana Wittstock completed her Master's degree for children and youth choir conducting at the Hochschule für Musik, Theater und Medien Hannover (HMTMH) and then completed her second degree with a master's degree in teaching at Gymnasien in Hannover. She gained valuable musical experience at the Collegium Vocale Hannover with Profesor Florian Lohmann, while studying at the HMTMH with Professor Henryk Böhm (singing) and with the choir directors Professor Matthias Beckert, Professor Andreas Felber, Professor Friederike Stahmer, Professor Frank Löhr, Jan Scheerer and Georg Hage.
Biljana Wittstock has been a vocal trainer at the Junge Vokalensemble Hannover (Professor Klaus-Jürgen Etzold) since 2019 and worked as a lecturer in the training of choir directors at the Landesmusikrates in Wolfenbüttel from 2015 to 2019. She is also a secondary-school teacher at Gymnasium Isernhagen and teaches music and physics.
Biljana Wittstock regularly sings solo soprano parts such as in J.S. Bach's Weihnachts-Oratorium BWV 248 or Mass in B minor BWV 232 and deepened her vocal training through master-classes with Professor Charlotte Lehmann, Evelyn Tubb and Professor Michael Chance.
Biljana Wittstock has been directing the FrauenChor Hannover since 2014. Under her direction, the choir won its category at the Niedersächsischen Landes-Chorwettbewerb 2017 in Bad Pyrmont and passed on to the Deutschen Chorwettbewerb in Freiburg, where it participated with great success. |
