Franziska Bobe (Soprano)

Born: Halberstadt, Saxony-Anhalt, Germany

The German soprano, Franziska Bobe, began her musical education at the Landesgymnasium für Musik Wernigerode. At the Würzburger Hochschule für Musik she studied music education (state exam in 2007) and then took a singing studies with Martin Hummel, and later with Professor Monika Bürgener, which she completed in 2011. Important impulses she received through active participation in master-classes with Margreet Honig. The Würzburg Opera School enabled her to participate in opera productions and to gain first experiences on stage. So she appeared inter alia in summer 2009 as Euridice Claudio Monteverdi L'Orfeo, and as Pamina in a concert performance of Die Zauberflöte by W.A. Mozart.

In the field of concert singing, Franziska Bobe has developed a broad range of repertoire ranging from early to contemporary music. In her solo career she has collaborated so far with renowned conductors such as Frieder Bernius (George Frideric Handel’s Israel in Egypt, 2009) and Jörg Straube (Claudio Monteverdi’s Vespers, 2011), and ensemles as the Barockorchester Stuttgart, Stiftsbarock Stuttgart, Concerto Palatino, Musica Alta Ripa, and La Banda.
