The German tenor, Benjamin Glaubitz, received his first musical education in Dresdner Kreuzchor where he was awarded the Rudolf-Mauersberger-Stipendium" in 2005. During his community service time in Munich he was a member of the Philharmonischer Chor München and the Vokalensemble München. Furthermore, he has been invited to the group of early music in Munich. In late 2006 he was seen in the Ensemble Così Facciamo under the direction of Hans Huyssen as a tenor in the opera Dido & Aeneas by Henry Purcell at the Gasteig München, Minden and Villach (Austria).
Benjamin Glaubitz graduated from his vocal studies October 2006 at the Hochschule für Musik "Carl Maria von Weber"in Dresden with Professor Margret Trappe-Wiel and in the master-class for Lied and concert with Kammersänger Olaf Bär. In addition he attended master-classes with Charlotte Lehmann, Kammersänger Peter Schreier, Kammersänger Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau, Lothar Odinius and Gerold Huber. In the years 2007, 2008 and 2009 he participated in the Internationalen Festivalensemble of the Bachakademie Stuttgart under Helmuth Rilling, under whom he thereby also repeatedly appeared as a soloist.
During the Dresdner Musikfestspiele 2010, Benjamin Glaubitz was heard at the Semperoper Dresden in the concert performance of Robert Schumann's opera Genoveva. At the same place he sang in W.A. Mozart's Coronation Mass during the Musikfestspielen 2011 In Bachwoche Stuttgart 2011 he sang under Helmuth Rilling the Evangelist in J.S. Bach's Johannes-Passion (BWV 245) in concerts in Stuttgart and Eisenach. At the Hamburgischen Staatsoper, he sang in 2013 the tenor arias in John Neumeier's ballet production of J.S. Bach's Weihnachts-Oratorium (BWV 248). In April 2014 he was invited again by Helmuth Rilling, to sing the Evangelist and tenor arias in J.S. Bach's Johannes-Passion (BWV 245) in concerts in Frutillar, Temuco and Santiago de Chile. In November of the same year, he performed under the direction Karl-Friedrich Beringer W.A. Mozart's Requiem at the Philharmonie am Gasteig München.
Important concert engagements of recent times were, inter alia, George Frideric Handel's oratorio Esther in Basel and Messiah at the Tonhalle Zürich with the Tonhalle-Orchester under the direction Joachim Krause, J.S. Bach's Mass in B minor (BWV 232) in Hong Kong under the direction of Helmuth Rilling, W.A. Mozart's Idomeneo at Liederhalle Stuttgart under the direction of Hans-Christoph Rademann and a new completion of J.S. Bach's Markus-Passion (BWV 247) in Novosibirsk and Barnaul (Russia).
Benjamin Glaubitz has performed with ensembles such as the Dresdner Barockorchester, Dresdner Kapellsolisten, Sächsisches Barockorchester, Lautten Compagney Berlin, Batzdorfer Hofkapelle, Capella Sagittariana, Capella de la Torre, Hannoversche Hofkapelle, La Partita Zürich, Staatskapelle Halle, Prague Symphony Orchestra, Philharmonisches Kammerorchester Dresden, Dresdner Philharmonie, Musikern der Dresden Staatskapelle, Bach-Collegium Stuttgart, Hong Kong Sinfonietta, Pratum Integrum, Philharmoniker Hamburg, Tonhalle-Orchester Zürich and Dresdner Kreuzchor, among others. He has sung under such conductors as:Ljubka Biagioni zu Guttenberg, Karl-Friedrich Beringer, Alessandro de Marchi, Ludwig Güttler, Hans Huyssen, Wolfgang Katschner, Ekkehard Klemm, Joachim Krause, Roderich Kreile, Markus Poschner, Hans-Christoph Rademann, Helmuth Rilling and Jörg-Peter Weigle.
In addition to his solo activities, Benjamin Glaubitz is working on a project basis in choirs as the Collegium Vocale Gent (Director: Philippe Herreweghe), Chor des Bayerischen Rundfunks and the Choir of the Mitteldeutscher Rundfunk. He has co-operated with renowned conductors such as Howard Arman, Herbert Blomstedt, Ivor Bolton, Riccardo Chailly, Thomas Dausgaard, Christoph Eschenbach, Adam Fischer, Patrick Fournillier, Daniel Harding, Philippe Herreweghe, Kristjan Järvi, Bernard Labadie, Ion Marin, Andris Nelsons, Yannick Nézet-Séguin, Ludger Rémy, Daniel Reuss and Robin Ticciati.
A longstanding musical friendship connects him with pianist Hiroto Saigusa. This co-operation took place in Lied ranks as "Lied in Dresden", "Lied-Gut" or the "Schumanniade" et al; the performance of Lieder cycles such as Robert Schumann's Dichterliebe, Spanische Liebeslieder, Schubert's Die schöne Müllerin,Johannes Brahms' Liebeslieder- Walzer, Wolf's Italienisches Liederbuch, and others. His busy concert activities have taken him, among many national concert halls, to Austria, Hungary, Poland, Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay, Finland, South Korea, Japan, France, Italy, Liechtenstein, Switzerland, Singapore, Malaysia, Taiwan, Israel, Belgium, the Netherlands , Sweden, Chile, Hong Kong and Russia.
